  Hemorrhoidopexy Stapled is a surgical procedure that involves cutting and removing anal hemorrhoidal vascular cushion, whose function is to help seal stools and create continence. The procedure also removes abnormally enlarged hemorrhoidal tissue, repositioning the remaining hemorrhoidal tissue back to its normal anatomic position. Severe cases of hemorrhoidal prolapse will normally require surgery.
